Parallels Access App Reviews

Crash

Im using Windows 7 on two screens on my PC. When activating Access on my iPad, the PC made a big screen hiccup, and afterwards most of my shortcuts on the screens were displaced a little bit everywhere, and some got lost. I uninstalled the app after two tries with the same result. There is a lot of work to be done before the PC version works on a little bit sophisticated installations.

Bien, mais vraiment trop cher

Bcp trop cher, prix max 9,99 euros …

Not working

Dont wast your time and money. Too many bugs

Not working

Last update mess the app. Plz, fix it.

Absolutely awesome

Never thought that accessing my Mac Mini through touch and gestures could be so easy. Amazing interface. Annual fee is worth every penny!

state of the art

*****

forced to register before use

equals : fail!

No support for iPad Pro 12.9

The idea is nice but it looks ugly on iPad Pro...

Halfway there

5 stars for being such an awesome product with the greatest functionality Ive tried on this type of app. That being said, 0 stars because the price is not only ridiculous for the service, but its only ONE computer per 80$ on top of that. Ill gladly pay 80$ for a laptop bag and bring it all over the place instead of using it through my iPad. Average, because its ok for the first 14 days I guess, 2.5 stars.

Poor UI and awful desktop agent.

Some of the functionality is really cool, such as being able to zoom in and general touch gestures. However the user-interface leaves a lot to be desired and is very poorly executed. This is also way more expensive than what I would be willing to pay for to have this functionality.

$79.99 a year!!!!

$79.99 a year and you dont find out until after youve signed up and installed everything. I found this to be very dishonest, I didnt see anything about a trial version in all the reading I did. The was a total waste of time.

does not work

I really like parallels, but this app does nothing. My Mac has a green light on "accessible", but the ipad app just has a skinny thing forever.

Ridiculous

Good product but at a ridiculous price of $80/year per computer. Office 365 at $99/year gets you the suite for a year you get to use it on 5 computers. Over priced is an understatement.

Excellent idea, poor pricing plan

5 stars for the app. 2 stars for the $80 yearly price plan. Justify why this considered as service when I connect to my computer with my internet service provider and the app is sending screen shots back and forth between the device and the computer. It should be charged as a product not as service for a year.

Contrary to Parallels claims nothing new here

Apple failed to post my last review perhaps because this app left me with many negative this to say about the company that sells Parallels, and professional website reviews that give a glowing review to this app. I thought this was a place to state opinion, but apparently expanding too much on a negative opinion becomes "inappropriate" at some point with no official Apple guidelines to follow that I am aware of. I have left out those expanded opinion details and now relate just the facts and my personal view. You can decide for yourself. This is the first time I have had a review not get posted. Apple please post this somewhat modified review, and also post explicitly what guidelines are used to deem a review "inappropriate". Im expert level at networking. Installed the host app on both my Mac Mini and MacBook Retina, both under OS X 10.8.4. The mini also has the server app. Both show as "available" from the client. Mac Mini never connects, although the MacBook does. No network settings to try to alter. Sent an email to their tech support days ago. Have not heard back. Does not live up to its claim of being "like using the apps natively". Only trick here is they make every app you launch run maximized (not true OS X full screen as they claim). You can simply click on Window > zoom in the OS X tittle bar with any other remote app and do the same thing. Decent mouse gestures yes, but no better than Splashtop Remote which has much better quality video and is significantly cheaper. Decided to uninstall. No uninstall utility to do a clean uninstall off the Mac. Come on Parallels thats not acceptable for an app at this price point. Thought I would go back to the older Parallels remote app for iOS which has been a feature of Parallels 7 and 8. No longer in the iOS App Store. If you have to reinstall Parallels mobile on iOS, you are now SOL. Parallels has taken away a feature from existing loyal version 7 and 8 customers forcing them to now pay for the functionality that was advertised as included with versions 7 and 8. This whole experience has very negatively impacted my formerly positive view of Parallels. Not a company that I want to do business with any more.

Gouge Mark II

So let me get this straight -- I pay for the previous iteration of Parallels iOS app and find it nearly useless. But rather than improve it, Parallels releases a new app with a new name that does the exact same things but charges an $80 annual subscription? Got it. Thank you. No. I will remain happy with my existing VNC apps.

I prefer Splashtop 2

I prefer Splashtop 2 and I think that this software works very badly and its annual cost is much too high.

Pleasantly surprised but sticker shock

This is the best remote access app Ive seen so far. Theyve really made both OSX and Windows touch-friendly. The only negative is the really high-priced subscription model. I wish they would make a LAN version of this and charge a one-time fee for it. Price is exorbitant.

Blown away

I gave this a pass originally, as the subscription covered one measly computer. The new model was appealing and Im super glad I gave this a shot. This is more like a "remote app" app, rather than "Remote Desktop". It really does feel like the desktop apps have been optimized for iPad. Theres a 14 day trial, so give it a shot! Make sure to whitelist the app in your Windows Firewall. Mac users wont have that problem.

Another Piece of Crap

Like the Title says, a piece of Crap, for ONLY $49.00 per year!
